Brazilian starlet Richarlison set to join Tottenham after the medical deal agreed.
Everton starlet Richarlison will become a Tottenham Hotspur player after the club agreed to a deal to sign him.
Tottenham are ready to complete a medical on Brazilian attacker Richarlison on Wednesday, according to Sky sources.
The move is expected to be worth around £50million, but personal terms have been agreed between the two clubs.
It is believed the Brazilian has agreed to a five-year contract with the north London club and will undergo a medical on Wednesday morning.
Spurs have been pursuing the 24-year-old, who has been on loan at AS Monaco since January, for several weeks now.
Tottenham’s interest in Richarlison is not a surprise, as they have had an eye on the striker since the summer of 2018.
He was initially targeted by Monaco, but Spurs were the ones who came in for him.
And since then, he has scored 53 goals in 152 appearances for Everton.
The Brazilian attacker is the youngest of the bunch.
Last season, he was voted the EPL Player of the Year, and finished third in the PFA Young Player of the Year award.
He also won the Golden Boot for the Premier League with Everton, scoring 13 goals.
He will add depth to Tottenham’s squad and he is expected to make his debut in a Spurs shirt at some point this season.
The move is a coup for Spurs, as they are looking to bolster their attacking options.
Tottenham currently boast Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane in the striking department, but they are not the only ones in their line-up.
Lucas Moura, Son Heung-min, Dele Alli and Erik Lamela are just a few players who can play up front.
However, the addition of Richarlison will be of great value, as he has the potential to score regularly.
His pace and directness could be a tremendous asset to Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
A move to White Hart Lane will be the biggest of his career to date.
If the deal goes through, he will become the fourth South American player to play for Spurs, following in the footsteps of Hugo Lloris, Giovani dos Santos and Giovani Lo Celso.
His arrival will also be a major boost for the Toffees, as he is a local lad and he will settle in England quickly.
They will look to add to their squad and, with his ability to score, the move makes sense for both parties.
Richarlison’s potential is huge, but it remains to be seen whether Spurs will make use of that.
He has just one year left on his current deal at Everton, but he has already been a success.
Now he will hope to add to that with a move to White Hart Lane.
