Cristiano Ronaldo Erik ten Hag will ‘deal with’ forward over exit down tunnel

Cristiano Ronaldo Erik ten Hag will 'deal with' forward over exit down tunnel

The Man Utd boss will deal with the forward over the exit down. Erik ten Hag has said he will “deal with” Cristiano Ronaldo if the Juventus forward tries to leave the pitch down the tunnel again.

Ronaldo was caught on camera, appearing to kick out at Edin Dzeko during Juventus’ 2-1 Champions League win over Roma on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old was also seen arguing with teammate Leonardo Bonucci before being restrained by security staff.

“We have to deal with that internally,” said Ten Hag.

“It is not something for me to comment on publicly. Of course, we don’t want that.”

Ronaldo has been involved in several high-profile incidents this season.

In November, he was sent off for elbowing Valencia’s Jeison Murillo in the face and was also accused of making a racist remark to Kalidou Koulibaly during Juventus’ 1-0 win over Napoli.

He was also accused of spitting at Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone during Juventus’ 2-0 Champions League defeat in September.

Ten Hag said Ronaldo’s behaviour was “not an issue” for him.

“We know Cristiano. He is a great professional,” said the Dutchman.

“He is, and he wants to win. That drives him.

“Sometimes he oversteps the line, but that is not an issue for us.”

Ronaldo has scored 19 goals in 27 appearances for Juventus this season.
