England's dilemma before the World Cup in 2022, by the way

Gareth Southgate has some big decisions to make before England travel to Qatar for the World Cup in 2022. The first is who will be his captain. Harry Kane is the obvious choice, but Southgate may feel that the time is right to give someone else the armband.

The second dilemma is what to do about Joe Hart. The goalkeeper was left out of the 2018 World Cup squad and has since fallen out of favour at both club and international level. However, Hart is still an experienced and quality goalkeeper and Southgate may feel that he is worth a place in the squad.

The third dilemma is how to deal with the media. The England team has been criticised in the past for their poor performances at major tournaments, and Southgate will be under pressure to deliver results in Qatar. He will need to decide how much access the media will have to the team, and how he will deal with any negative press.

Southgate has some big decisions to make, but he will need to make them quickly if England are to have any chance of success at the World Cup in 2022.

The World Cup in Qatar will take place between Sunday, 20 November and Sunday, 18 December, 2022. This is later than usual because of the hot weather in Qatar during the summer months.

England qualified for the World Cup by finishing in second place in their qualifying group. They will be in Group D at the tournament, alongside Croatia, Czech Republic and Scotland.

Gareth Southgate’s side will hope to improve on their performance at the 2018 World Cup, where they were knocked out in the semi-finals by Croatia.

Conclusion:

I think Gareth Southgate will have a tough time deciding who to captain England at the World Cup in 2022. I would give the armband to Harry Kane, as he is a proven leader and goalscorer.

I think Joe Hart should be included in the squad, as he is an experienced goalkeeper who can provide cover if needed.

I think Southgate should be open with the media, as they can be a valuable asset in promoting the team. However, he should also be prepared to deal with any negative press.

Overall, I think England has a good chance of doing well at the World Cup in Qatar. They have a strong squad and a superb manager, and I think they will be the favourite to lift the trophy.
