In an interview with ESPN, Mayweather said that he is planning to come out of retirement in 2023 for a rematch with Conor McGregor. The two boxers first faced each other in 2017, with Mayweather winning by TKO in the 10th round.

Mayweather, who is now 45 years old, said that he has been in talks with McGregor about a rematch and that they are “working together” to make it happen. He added he is “coming out of retirement just to fight Conor McGregor” and that the fight will happen “in two years.”
This will be the first time Mayweather has fought since he defeated Japan’s Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition match in 2018. He retired from boxing with a perfect 50-0 record.
Mayweather’s announcement will come as a surprise to many, as he has repeatedly said that he is done with boxing. However, he has reconsidered and is now eager to get back in the ring to take on McGregor once again.
It is unclear how much money Mayweather is looking to make from the rematch, but it will be a huge payday for both him and McGregor. The first fight between the two generated over $600 million in revenue, and there is no reason to believe that the rematch would not be even more successful.
