Death of Koko Da Doll shocks friends and family
Many people have been shocked and upset by the news of Williams’ death. Her friends and coworkers have shared their sorrow on social media. Williams was known as a leader in the Black transgender community and an inspiration to many people in that group.
Williams’ death is a warning that transgender people still have to deal with violence and discrimination. Most of these people were transgender women who were Black or Latinx.
