Jennifer Young, a former Miss England beauty queen, became the talk of the town after it was recently revealed that she is currently in jail on charges of drug trafficking.
According to the report from MailOnline, she may get a term of up to 20 years in jail in Mexico. After coming from Amsterdam in August of last year, the 33-year-old was detained at Cancun airport for trying to smuggle more than £250,000 worth of ketamine into the nation.

Reportedly, Jennifer Young was found to have 13.080kg of the illegal substance packed in packages and bottles that were placed in a fake section of her bag. Following her arrest, Young was held in an overcrowded jail in Cancun for several months before being transferred to a prison in close proximity to Mexico City in February.
She allegedly kept her family in the dark about her condition by telling them for more than six months that she was simply traveling the country. However, her family was finally made aware of her predicament just five weeks ago.
The British Foreign Ministry has verified that Jennifer Young and her family are receiving support from the British Consulate in Mexico. Since then, many people have tried to find out more about her. So, here’s what we know about her:

Jennifer Young competed as Miss England in Derby at the age of 17.
She left her hometown when she was 19 and spent much of her life working as a model and tour guide overseas. She advertises her services on a website for tour guides, offering to show tourists about Berlin for £27 per hour.
